Black Eye Susan's, 2006. In 2006, I returned to my Southern California hometown of La Canada, which is home to Descanso Gardens. Not having been there in 20 years, I saw it a different way than when I was a child, and everywhere I looked there was a beautiful photograph just waiting to come to life such as these flowers in one of the numerous beds.
