Description
Brick, Mortar and Marble, 2005. While I was in New Orleans, I visited Metairie Cemetery, the largest in the city at 150 acres. Originally a racetrack, it was turned into a cemetery in 1872 and since then has seen many famous Southerners buried there. Here is the birck tomb of the Lefevre family. Rather unuusual in it's construction, but still a beautifukl work of art.
