Artist's Description

The Seraphim's Dance, 2004. One of my favorite places to take a camera! The Palace of Fine Arts, the last remaining structure of the 1915 Panama Pacific Exhibition and one of Bernard Maybeck's treasures. This structure has given me more photo's than any other building in the city and each time I see it, I see something different, a new view, a new play of light and shadow such as this on an urn underneath the rotunda. I doubt I'll ever tire of working here and I look forward to seeing in again.

About C Thomas Cooney

Growing up, my family and I took yearly vacations, and like a lot of kids, I usually wound up posing for photos. It was my father's enthusiasm and love for photography though that inspired me as a child and continues to inspire me today. For a number of years, photography was merely a hobby until a trip I took with friends to New Orleans in 2004. When I returned the images that I captured and the positive response from my friends lead me...
