Artist's Description

Pitkin-Conrow House, 2009. In 1991, my parents moved within the town of Arroyo Grande to a new house that was just up Hwy 1 from one of the most famous Victorian houses in the south county, the Pitkin farmhouse built in 1890 and featured in Daughters of Painted Ladies in 1987. Originally, the house was painted several shades of pink and know as the Rose Victorian and was a bed and breakfast for many years before being bought, painted in it's present color scheme and now a rental for weddings and special events. I've photographed the place numerous times before, but it wasn't until this visit in the late afternoon in 2009, that I finally felt I had captured it's true beauty.

About C Thomas Cooney

Growing up, my family and I took yearly vacations, and like a lot of kids, I usually wound up posing for photos. For a number of years, photography was merely a hobby until a trip I took with friends to New Orleans in 2004. When I returned the images that I captured and the positive response from my friends lead me...
